Words of Encouragement!
Here is an email, among many, that I recently received and I was impressed to share this with you…
Hi!…Happy Saturday - at least I hope it’s a happy Saturday
for you! It’s bright and sunny here in Welland today, the
mercury’s rising and there are finally signs summer’s on
the way - the birds are chirping, the trees are budding…
Can summer be far behind?
Next weekend is Mothers’ Day, and the weekend after that
is our Victoria Day - the start of 5 long weekends over the
next 6 months and traditionally considered the unofficial
start of the summer season…
But then, that’s the joy of our biz, isn’t it? Any and
every weekend can be a long weekend once we attain a certain
level online. And it can be as warm as you like it any time
of the year. The February storms ravaged rampant through
Welland this year - good thing it was 88F (31C) in South
Beach where Teri & I were at that point…
You can get there too - to that point
where you look forward to getting up each day, where you
make your own hours, where you interact with society when
you want and simply ignore them when you don’t. Where you
have the freedom and peace of mind to do pretty much what
you want when you want (within reasonable parameters, of
course).
Getting there isn’t rocket science, nor does it need
to set you back a fortune. Loosely plot your steps online,
and only get, use and do those things that advance you
along that path you set for yourself. Don’t dawdle, but
don’t rush into things, and especially don’t get frustrated
because it’s not the instant thing so many claim it to be.
Everyone I know at our level or above either came into the
game with a ton of bucks and experience, or spent their
time in the trenches before getting to where they are today.
For some it took 2 or 3 years, for some it took 10. The
only thing they had in common was they didn’t give up -
they stuck with it, making mistakes and learning as they
went, til they got to the top - just like us.
And remember, you don’t need to ‘reinvent the wheel’
every time - whenever you get the chance, read about or
listen to the histories of those of us now world famous
through the biz. Some paths will seem totally foreign to
your experiences, but some will resonate soundly and be
a good reminder that you, too, can get there if you
persevere. Mistakes aren’t the killer in this biz -
giving up too soon ends far more dreams than everything
else put together.
You CAN get there and we’ll be waiting
here proudly for you when you do!
